Excellent entrees, good appetizers and desserts. Above average service from all staff. Very comfortable, upscale but casual atmosphere. Semi private seating nooks. Tight parking lot behind the restaurant. Located right next to the Roundhouse. Personally while I enjoyed the boar bacon appetizer it appeared to be easily available products from local stores. So... it felt a tad lacking somehow. I didn't care for the personality of our waiter but he did a fairly good job. The cocktails and wine were great. The salmon dinner with lobster sauce was incredibly delicious. Everybody liked their food. The blackened steak was spicy hot. I will also add that of all the side dishes, the baked potato was not hot or fresh in texture. I will return and look forward to trying the elk entree. Birthday = free dessert. Or If you bring in a cake of your own, they charge a $15 cake cutting fee.

April was our contact for rehearsal dinner. She was repeatedly difficult to work with because she did not respond to texts, emails, or vm in a timely manner. She volunteered to do the flowers then the day of the event she had no flowers. Said she had to go buy them, even though it was already noon. We paid 3k for plated hordourves. The so call charcuterie platter looked like some bags from Walmart that were opened and dumped on a platter. Shrimp for 75 at $15 each was poorly presented. Veggie platter again was bags just dumped on a platter. Picture on website show charcuterie plate with decorations and beautifully presented. Then they charge us extra for about 20 desserts that were to be included in the $75 per plate. But to add insult to injury there was 23% added to bill for service and the bar put out a tip jar for guests at a private party to be begged for tips. April left the event and was not there to present the bill. We just had a bartender to deal with. And all she did was say she was sorry we felt that way. $150 a person.

For overall experience I would recommend a different restaurant. The food was nothing to rave about. Honestly it was one of the worst for the price. The filet mignon was not up to par. The New York Steak was even worse. Our service was okay. I felt like our server was a bit cold. The friendly service just wasn’t there. I am honestly disappointed in the overall experience we received.

We arrived too early for a 5:30pm dinner reservation, so decided to have a drink at the bar while we waited. Server took about 15 minutes before we were greeted/took drink order. Took another 30 minutes just to bring drinks out. We were not in a hurry, so just patiently waited. Dinner was delicious! Fondue was a big hit! Filet mignon was cooked perfectly, paired with peppercorn brandy dipping sauce is a must! Sides are large enough to share. Service was nothing like Market Steer Steakhouse.

Went with a large group of friends. Sat in room where there was a piano player. We were told to be quiet, were not allowed to sit together because it wasn't good for staff. $47 for a filet with no sides. $9 asparagus was inedible. Took 1 hour to get food, ordered wine but never came. Waitress was beyond rude. Will never go back!

Rio Chama Prime Steakhouse was a pretty good experience. This was good food and good atmosphere. In my opinion, this was priced at the top of the market. By that I mean that the price fit the quality of the food. This is definitely an upper cost range restaurant. Expect to spend a lot of money here. You'll enjoy it. But, it's pretty costly. We were having a bit of a celebration, so we started the evening with the fondue. The fondue was excellent. I believe it would have been a comfortable appetizer for 4 to 6 people. Since there were two of us, we had a lot of it left over and actually had it for breakfast the next day! We had sea bass and prime rib as our main course and both were delicious. I would say the sea bass was excellent, and the prime rib was pretty average Prime rib. For dessert we had apple crumble, and it was good, but not outstanding. We tried both the Malbec and the top of the line Cabernet Sauvignon. Both were good, but the cab was outstanding. If you're looking for an upscale dinner out, and you understand the price range that this restaurant charges, then you'll probably enjoy this. But, you're paying as much or more for the atmosphere as you are for the food.

So insanely expensive and not a lot of value. Really limited vegan and vegetarian options. Used to be great but has gone downhill. You can get better food at half the price at lots of other places in town.
